Console Cheats

Canonical list of Lambeer gameplay and UI console commands from current C++. Owner PIE is usually Dedicated Server plus two client Preview windows. Type commands in a possessed client console (~), not the Dedicated Server window.

Status: draft Owner: Unassigned Updated: 2026-09-17 Source: ULambeerCheatManager + ALambeerPlayerController Exec

Source inventory of existing Exec commands. This page does not approve new cheats, item IDs, or PIE results. Only the owner starts PIE.

Problem & scope

Cheat strings were previously scattered across feature docs. This page is the command catalog. Gameplay rules, ItemIds, HUD behavior, and persistence stay canonical in their own HTML documents.

  • In scope: every UFUNCTION(Exec) on ULambeerCheatManager and ALambeerPlayerController, plus dotted Lambeer.* aliases that ProcessConsoleExec actually matches.
  • Out of scope: engine stat / Insights commands (TECH-PERFORMANCE-PROFILING), Enhanced Input binds, and Shipping/Test player-facing console.
Owner-only PIE. Agents must not start PIE or mark a command as passed from their own actions. After C++ cheat changes, a closed-Editor LambeerEditor Win64 Development rebuild is often required because Live Coding can leave an old DLL.

How to run

  1. Focus a client Preview viewport that possesses a pawn. Open its in-game console with ~.
  2. Use the console string in the Command column. UFUNCTION(Exec) names cannot contain .. Dotted Lambeer.Damage works only because ULambeerCheatManager::ProcessConsoleExec matches that string, then calls LambeerDamage.
  3. If the log shows Command not recognized, the Exec path never ran. For Lambeer.* that means CheatManager was missing, not that GAS/HUD failed. ALambeerPlayerController::ReceivedPlayer calls EnableCheats() in non-Shipping so Dedicated Server clients get a CheatManager.
  4. UI_G3* / UI_G4* / UI_P07* / UI_G1* / UI_G2* are PlayerController Exec. They run on clients even without CheatManager. Helpers that change authoritative state Server-RPC.
Availability tagMeaning
DS clientWorks on a Dedicated Server client Preview when typed in that client console (CheatManager present, or PlayerController Exec).
Host pawnRequires a listen-server / PIE-as-server controller with authority and a possessed pawn. A Dedicated Server client prints needs host.
LocalLocal presentation or local pawn helper. No Server RPC on that Exec. Do not assume remote clients see the same change.

PlayerController UI_* helpers are DevelopmentOnly. Many grant/kill/save implementations are also wrapped in #if !UE_BUILD_SHIPPING && !UE_BUILD_TEST. CheatManager dotted aliases exist in source without that meta; engine still does not create CheatManager in Shipping via normal AddCheats().

Current vs proposed

Current: two Exec surfaces, listed below from Source/Lambeer/Dev/LambeerCheatManager.h/.cpp and Source/Lambeer/Core/LambeerPlayerController.h/.cpp as of 2026-09-17. Includes Dedicated Server client grants UI_G3GiveCrowbar and UI_G3GiveFireAxe using the same empty-hand path as UI_G3GiveL1810.

Proposed: none. Header comments on LambeerProne and LambeerSetAppearance mention dotted Lambeer.Prone / Lambeer.SetAppearance, but those strings are not in ProcessConsoleExec. Use the Exec names until someone adds dotted aliases.

Quick start (common PIE)

UI_G3GiveCrowbar
UI_G3GiveFireAxe
UI_G3GiveL1810
UI_G3GiveL1810Magazine
UI_G3Give9x19
Lambeer.Damage 10
Lambeer.InventoryDump
Lambeer.Kill

UI_G3GiveCrowbar / UI_G3GiveFireAxe / UI_G3GiveL1810 grant that ItemId into an empty hand (right first; left only if that hand can accept it). Both hands occupied → inventory. L1810 comes with empty chamber, no magazine. Drag ammo onto the mag, then drag the mag onto the gun (3 s).

Command index

Filter is a convenience. Every command remains in its category table below with JavaScript disabled.

Architecture

PieceRole
ULambeerCheatManagerDotted Lambeer.* gameplay cheats. Set as CheatClass on ALambeerPlayerController. BP_LambeerPlayerController inherits that CDO.
ALambeerPlayerController ExecUI_G1*, UI_G2*, UI_G3*, UI_G4*, UI_P07*. Run without CheatManager. Authoritative grants/damage/save Server-RPC.
ReceivedPlayerEnableCheats()Non-Shipping only. Dedicated Server clients have no AuthGameMode, so engine AddCheats() would skip CheatManager.

Dotted aliases actually registered

ProcessConsoleExec matches: SpawnPickup, GiveItem, Equip, Damage, InventoryDump, AppearanceDump, InteractDump, HudBlood, Kill, DestroyDeathBag, SaveFlush, SaveStatus.

Not registered as dotted names: Lambeer.Prone, Lambeer.SetAppearance. Use LambeerProne and LambeerSetAppearance.

Replication / persistence

Cheats that mutate inventory, equipment, damage, death, rain, or save state Server-RPC (or run only on authority). Local HUD Execs do not write the save record. Lambeer.SpawnPickup creates a runtime drop with the 24-hour remaining world-up despawn; that is why map fixtures must not use it.

Giving items through these cheats follows the normal inventory/equipment components. If that state is in the P07 player record, a later Lambeer.SaveFlush persists it. This catalog does not add a new save schema.

Performance & failure handling

  • Command not recognized from UPlayer::ConsoleCommand means Exec returned false. Check window net mode, CheatManager, and whether the DLL includes the command.
  • Host-only cheats print needs host / needs host/listen-server pawn on Dedicated Server clients. That is expected, not an inventory bug.
  • Grant failures report weight/slot capacity, missing Data Assets, or occupied hands. Read the on-screen / ClientMessage string before changing HUD.
  • Do not diagnose overlay, GAS, or interact from a command that never ran. Compare UI_G3NotifyBlood (overlay) with Lambeer.Damage (GAS + overlay).

Implementation plan

UI_G3GiveCrowbar and UI_G3GiveFireAxe follow the L1810 Dedicated Server client grant: PlayerController Exec → Server RPC → add stack if missing → take into an empty hand. When adding a cheat later:

  1. Put dotted Lambeer.* gameplay cheats on ULambeerCheatManager and add a ProcessConsoleExec match.
  2. Keep PlayerController Exec for helpers that must run without CheatManager, or as thin wrappers.
  3. Authoritative client cheats must Server-RPC. A Client RPC from a client is dropped.
  4. Update this HTML in the same change. Do not leave a new Exec undocumented.

Verification strategy

  • Owner PIE: Dedicated Server + two client Previews on L_Dev_Sandbox. Type in a client window.
  • Confirm the command ran: LogLambeer, on-screen cyan/orange line, or ClientMessage. Then judge the feature.
  • For UI_G3GiveCrowbar / UI_G3GiveFireAxe: empty hands should hold the item (right first). Both hands occupied should leave it in inventory and print the occupied-hands line. Expect G3 Crowbar: in hand. / G3 FireAxe: in hand.
  • Host-only trio must be re-checked on Listen Server if those paths are the test.
  • Record owner-reported results in the owning feature/technical HTML. Do not mark a pass from agent actions.

Technical decisions / TBDs

No new TBD is opened by this catalog. The missing dotted aliases for prone and set-appearance are a source/comment mismatch, not an approved product decision.
